IFA-East Bengal nexus resurfaced again!
The death nail of impartiality in Kolkata football was already placed by the previous IFA committees. Now, the newly elected committee under Mr. Utpal Ganguly has the chance to prove their support behind the club, which has always enjoyed un-logical and unethical aids from the oldest Indian football association.
It is to bee seen what IFA do with East Bengal's horrendous mistake of not fielding any under-19 player for a while, in their 3-1 drubbing against Mohammedan Sporting. Every football lovers of the city is already dreading that the club will go scot free once again.
Earlier instances of IFA Blessings on East Bengal:
•Loaning 12, 00,000 to East Bengal, unofficially, without the consent of other clubs.
•Declaring East Bengal the champion of IFA Shield, despite they were losing 1-0 to Palmieres of Brazil, in a final which was abandoned.
•Forcing players to sign in favor of EB, despite they wanted to sign for Mohammedan.
•Not to mention, several instances of grave refereeing mistakes, which always went against EB’s opponents.
